BC LRS Key Chain Account Manager

 

Charton Hobbs, Canada’s largest privately held wine & spirits importer, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to represent our brands, calling on the growing Private Retail (LRS) Chain Account Groupings.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proven Retail Sales Professional looking to take the next step in their career into Key Account Management.  Calling on both LRS Chain Buyers and individual locations, the LRS Key Account Manager will manage all aspects of Charton Hobbs’ engagement with BC’s most important LRS buying groups.  In this role, the successful candidate will oversee BC’s #1 value and #2 volume SPEC import wine portfolio as well as manage a very successful Spirit business lead by the #1 selling LRS Liqueur brand in BC. 

The primary role of this position is to execute top-tier distribution and display programs with LRS Chain buying groups.  Working with Sazerac, Moet Hennessy, and a comprehensive wine portfolio, the Key Account Manager will work with strong budgets to create and sell custom display and distribution programs.  This entails both existing national and regional brands as well as the opportunity to develop spirit and wine brands custom-made to suitable buying groups.

The successful candidate must have a great deal of self-discipline, set high standards for themselves, be competitive, and be a great team player.  Experience in direct sales with select LRS buying groups is preferred.   WSET 2 or higher is required.

Additional responsibilities include organizing and creating displays, calling directly on LRS stores, and other account support functions.  In addition, attendance at trade events (evenings and weekends) may be required. 

Potential candidates must have a passion for wine and spirits and hold a valid passport and driver’s license for business related travel. Candidates with College or University schooling are also preferred.  Other skills that are important to this position are:

  • Goal-oriented and results-driven personality
  • Able to set and execute high standards of performance.
  • Capable of advanced organization and planning skills and have the ability to respect tight schedules.

This position comes with a base salary commensurate with experience, incentive bonus, a car allowance and benefits. Business related expenses are also covered.
