BC Sales Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Renaissance Wine Merchants Ltd. started in 1983 as a local wine sales agency and importer. Since that time, the company has evolved into a leading and trusted importer for wine and spirits in Canada’s four western provinces. We are looking to add a Sales Manager in British Columbia, based in Vancouver.

 

Sales Manager, British Columbia

A multi-task sales management position that is responsible and accountable for the creation and execution of the British Columbia sales strategy along with related functions to achieve company goals. This role will provide an exciting opportunity in a fascinating industry for the right candidate to apply their skills in a wide range of areas and make a difference.


Essential Functions

 

Sales Management

 -Create quarterly sales plans with reference to annual sales targets.

-Manage quarterly sales plan for LRS, BCLS and on-premise channels and ensure execution by the sales team.

Marketing Management

 -Develop product and brand programming strategies, annual marketing plans and budgets in accordance with the company fiscal plan.

-Research, track and report on results of brand programs, marketing activities and current marketing and beverage alcohol consumption trends.

-Manage special event requests from key suppliers.

 Supplier Relations

 -Confer regularly with key suppliers to establish brand programs, execution timelines and new product launch plans.

-Working with the Marketing Coordinator, ensure sales team has the marketing materials and sales tools required to execute brand programs in market.

-Coordinate supplier visits.

Human Resources

 -Communicate regularly in person and in quarterly appraisal meetings with all reports.

-Identify coaching opportunities and prepare reports for continuous learning.

 Communication

 -Communicate regularly with General Manager about actual vs. target results.

-Contribute to the addition/deletion of suitable products by assessing market potential after conferring with reports and key customers.

-Initiate key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.

 Preferred Education and Experience

●      Undergraduate degree in business, marketing or related field.

●      Minimum of 5 years direct experience in sales and merchandising.

●      Experience in managing a team.

Proven ability to grow and manage a large portfolio of wines and spirits.
