We are seeking a Business Insights & Pricing Analyst to join our AP Imports team.

Reporting into the Sales Director, AP Imports, this role will be responsible for collaborating with the Sales and Portfolio Managers to deliver insights and innovative solutions that drive growth using data and analytics.


We are looking for a teammate with:

  • A bachelor's degree in a business-focused major with a problem-solving focus such as economics, finance, industrial engineering, computer science or operations research.
  • 2-5 years of business analysis experience.
  • Outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork and strong self-organization.
  • An understanding of business process design and reengineering.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using MS Excel, SQL and a Business Intelligence tool such as Tableau or Power BI to analyze data and create reports. Experience of using programming languages (Python etc.) is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written language and interpersonal skills.

This teammate will be accountable for:

  • Compile and analyze data to drive decision making around an approach for product pricing to drive against target margin objectives per market.
  • Provide pricing analysis and recommendations for new supplier market entry.
  • Work with the sales team to develop market/product specific strategies to ensure profitable growth.
  • Build pricing strategies to leverage market trends.
  • Act as Data steward for Import Portfolio with 3rd party data partners.
  • Conduct competitor/market analysis to determine position in market and a pricing strategy to improve market share.
  • Researches, gathers, and analyzes data to develop insightful conclusions, generate solutions and support the decision-making processes of the Sales & Marketing teams.
  • Work proactively with the Sales and Portfolio Managers to provide analytics to support the development of strategies, financial targets and objectives by channel, segment, and brand.
  • Collaborates to develop insights, identify product opportunities, and forecasting for new products
  • Provides high level monthly updates to key stakeholders on any impact to key business measurements, including share changes, market, and mega brand performance.
