We are looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented individual to join our team for Graphic Design and Social Media. This role plays an integral part in leading creative for all brand collateral, adapting both global point of sale and coming up with unique social media campaigns. Job Summary:
Design and execute POS for the Western Canadian marketing and sales teams. Act as the point person for AWSM social media and web presence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Graphic Design/POS:
· Manage all graphics requests. Projects include in-house design of POS including case cards, necktags, shelf talkers, feature cards, event materials, price list, ads, etc.
· Ensure all quarterly POS and sell sheets are available to BC, AB, MB, and SK teams prior to the start of the individual quarterly sales roll-out meetings.
· Leverage provincial projects and requests across the West taking advantage of cross-provincial opportunities/offering to the full Western Canada team
· Managing design outsourcing if necessary/appropriate, writing briefs to suppliers and agencies and managing timelines and final execution
· Track all project time and submit monthly spreadsheet summarizing time allocations
Social Media:
· Implement AWSM’s social media strategy and make recommendations
· Maintain and manage AWSM’s social media calendar – linked with full marketing team
· Lead Social media communication including posting for Twitter and Instagram
· Maintain and provide recommendations for AWSM’s website (WordPress platform)
Administration:
· Ensure POS on the GPL filing system is up-to-date
· Assist in distribution of POS with Sales Coordinators and Marketing Analyst/Managers
· Print coordination and BCLDB shelf talker distribution and other duties as requested for marketing/management
Job Requirements:
· Experience: College degree or certificate in Graphic Design/Marketing or equivalent discipline and/or minimum of 1-3 years graphic design experience for consumer facing POS materials. You will have a portfolio of examples of your work to date.
· Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be highly organized and display excellent motivation. Be prepared to provide examples of your design work. Must be able to juggle multiple situations, and be self motivated and able to work independently.
· Knowledge: You must have great PC skills with proficiency in Adobe InDesign, familiarity with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, WordPress, Twitter, Instagram
· Physical: Must be physically fit and be able to lift and carry 41+ pounds and be able to handle heavy POS material.
· Other: Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s license in the Province employed and must meet the Company’s automobile insurance requirements. Must have and maintain a valid Canadian Passport.
