We are looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented individual to join our team as Marketing Events + Design Coordinator, to work at our North Vancouver office. This role plays an integral part in planning and executing marketing and sales materials in addition to driving social media campaigns and engagement. This position is an opportunity to build a dynamic skill set and obtain wide ranging experience in both marketing and communications as well as daily collaboration with sales teams.
Marketing + Brand Management
- Execute activity strategy for all core portfolio brands
- Assist with the preparation of annual plans and budgets that drive advertising, creative pieces and event activities.
- Plan, design, manage social calendarManage social media and online presence by posting content, engaging the audience and monitoring analytics.
- Create and review weekly website content using WordPress
- Create email blasts and manage contact lists using Constant Contact
- Review articles for grammar, punctuation, style and tone
- Manage administrative duties, such as ordering business cards, printing bios, preparing packages and ordering promotional goods
Event Management
- Collaborate with sales and marketing leads to develop effective events that represent the brand standards of the company.
- Manage coordination of the required event components, such as facilities, transportation, space design, signage, catering, displays, security, registration, compliance with rules, etc.
- Be personally present at each event to oversee every task and activity. Resolve issues on the spot, continuously communicate with client’s representatives.
- Hire contractors and temporary staff, if required.
- Review and approve every event-related invoice and monitor progress against the approved budget.
Creative Design
- Design unique pieces to support the external sales reps, wine club and social media needs of the company and its represented wine brands.
- Showcase your digital design skills for a variety of media platforms, tailoring your approach to match the benefits and challenges of each platform.
- Modify existing creative with speed and accuracy.
- Live and breathe brand guidelines: be a brand ambassador ensuring that all work adheres to brand standards.
- Execute requests for design development, image retouching, etc.
- Collaborate and brainstorm creative concepts with team.
- Participate in brand development and strategic planning.
- Manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Stay up to date with current design & photography trends, looking for fresh inspiration and innovation to bring to our brand creative.
Office & Sales Support
- Help manage the HQ office by being the primary contact for incoming calls and enquiry emails.
- Ensure office and work areas are clean, well stocked and well maintained.
- Order office supplies as required.
- Assist with order desk as required to relieve regular order desk position.
- Manage onsite inventory of bottle product
- Coordinate samples for the sales team
- Send bi-weekly couriers to the out of town sales reps
- Attend bi-weekly sales meeting
- Assist with Liquor Board Applications and registrations when required
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Tools:
- 2+ years experience in brand management
- Proficiency in Adobe CS6 including, but not limited to, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom with demonstrated graphic design and creative ability
- Experience in After Effects and Premier Pro an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organization and time management skills, action-oriented and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Strong social media strategy
- An interest and some education in wine is beneficial
- Comfortable building budgets and marketing plans
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and a sense of urgency
- An eye for modern design with a good understanding of luxury products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Social and outgoing and comfortable in the public eye.
- Thorough understanding of the printing process and stock choices to bring design to life
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with print management, copywriting, proofing is an asset
