SUMMIT FINE WINES is a premium wine agency owned by Jackson Family Wines- a privately (family) owned California wine company with over 40 wineries spanning the globe. Summit specializes in selling higher-tier, mainly California and Italian wines and our markets include British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Summit is seeking a hard-working, organized, dynamic, self-starter who possesses wine marketing knowledge who ideally has miniumum one year of work in spirit/wine marketing. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, collaborative work environment with both the sales team at Summit and the Jackson Family Wines Marketing team based in Sonoma, California.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):
- Plan and submit (with strict deadlines) BCLS applications for displays/shelf talkers/on packs.
- Update BC and Alberta price books/portfolios/accolade sheets and LTO grids monthly.
- Coordinate printing and distribution of marketing/sales material to reps, liquor boards and customers.
- Receive and ship samples to reps/media/PR company
- Work closely with all suppliers and their marketing teams on developing sales material to suit Canadian market.
- Collaborate and design marketing objectives and ideas with SFW sales team and suppliers.
- Plan and source materials for displays, in store draws, on packs and point of sale.
- Communicate and correspond with PR company and media outlets regarding wineries/samples/stories.
- Work with accounts and their digital teams on best promotions/ideas for our wineries.
- Apply for wine events/festivals and organize all agendas/wine samples/customs/table and event POS.
- Support sales team with presentations/form submissions/etc.
- Ability to manage a marketing budget.
- Ensure all bottle shots/material is up to date on account websites/e commerce portals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment often working alone.
- Basic understanding of wine and wine marketing
- Expert with Microsoft Office/Outlook/Excel/PP/
- Experience with InDesign, Adobe and Photoshop
- Flexibility to work/attend industry events outside of regular working hours.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Team player, positive attitude
