Overview

This role supports the Marketing and Sales teams in an administrative function, coordinating marketing activities in a timely fashion. The creative design of POS and trade marketing materials is also a core responsibility of the Marketing Coordinator role.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

 

Program Applications

·      Coordinate the completion of marketing program applications for BC & MB. These include shelf talkers, neck tags, in-store tastings, TASTE magazine ads as well as LTOs & BAMs (for MB only).

·      In collaboration with Marketing/Brand teams, propose annual marketing activities for core brands (emphasis on LTOs and BAMs), using prior year’s brand calendar as a template.

·      Meet with Brand team prior to application deadlines to propose last minute additions/deletions related to market conditions and brand/sku health.

·      Communicate to marketing/brand teams latest information pertaining to specifications and requirements for marketing program applications.

 

Creative Design

·      With guidance from the Marketing Manager where required, design marketing materials including neck tags, shelf talkers, sell sheets (including LTO/WPP, brand family, new products, accolades/awards, etc.), event materials (including tasting cards, trade handouts, signage, booklets, tasting mats, etc.), print and digital advertisements, website homepage banners, and price book covers.

·      Fulfill ad hoc requests from sales representatives as required.

 

Price Book Maintenance

·      Add/delete products and suppliers on an on-going basis as required

·      Ensure the timely tri-annual release of updated price book for BC, AB, and MB

·      Coordinate in-house printing and distribution to reps.

 

Social Media & Digital Advertising

·      Connect with suppliers, trade partners and consumers on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter through sharing/liking/commenting & posting engaging and on-brand content

·      Develop and execute social media contests & develop content in collaboration with trade programs or promotions

·      Seek out and propose digital advertising opportunities to the Marketing/Brand teams; schedule; connect with suppliers on available materials/design ad in-house; conduct ad post-mortem, analyze engagement and ROI and share with team.

 

Other

·      Media monitoring – actively seek reviews and accolades from online and print publications and add to website database; maintain 90+ point spreadsheet and sell sheets.

·      Brand asset maintenance and file management – save all acquired brand assets in an organized manner on Google Drive; ensure outdated assets are archived; convert bottle shots/logos to .png format for creative and other applications

·      Take action to correct any missing/outdated product/supplier information on the ICI website

·      Ensure POS materials are pushed out to sales teams to avoid wastage

·      Provide support in the planning and execution of events and tastings

·      Source wine samples for media, events and sales as required

·      Source suppliers and coordinate orders of company branded collateral as required

·      Assist with marketing-related couriers as required

·      Special projects as required

 


Job Requirements

·      Post-secondary education from a recognized College or University

·      A passion for wine/the food & beverage industry is a must

·      Team player mindset, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn

·      Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; thrives in a deadline-oriented environment

·      Ability to prioritize and reprioritize tasks on an ongoing basis to ensue deadlines are met and efficiencies are made.

·      Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites. Experience with InDesign is an asset but not required.

·      Flexibility to attend/work industry events outside of the regular working hours
