Start date: February 12, 2018. This is a 14 month contract position.
The role:
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, well organized, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done. Working under the direction of the BC Operations Manager, he or she will be responsible for assisting with merchandising and marketing projects that support the entire region.
Tasks for this role include:
- Coordinate printing and distribution of promotional, sales, and event materials including shelf talkers, sell sheets, LTO sheets, etc.
- Coordinate press samples for media. Source & record accolades from various sources.
- Event planning and execution including venue sourcing, collateral, and other supplies as required.
- Sourcing & distributing product samples from market for upcoming events and supplier visits.
- Merchandising at retail stores.
- Contribution to the company’s social media platforms.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting. Record & distribute minutes of team meetings.
- Receive and distribute POS materials. Maintain the company’s storage facility.
- Represent the company and its brands at various tradeshows, festivals, consumer tastings and in-store tastings.
- Evening and weekend work will be required.
The successful candidate will show or have the following skills and experience:
- Preference given wine industry experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Excellent understanding of MS Office Suite including Excel, Adobe.
- InDesign proficiency an asset.
- A reliable vehicle and a valid and unimpeded BC Driver’s License.
- Able to lift and carry more than 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Post-secondary education of certificate, diploma or degree.
- An understanding of the British Columbia Liquor Board, and Liquor Stores is an asset.
- Wine education such as WSET or ISG preferred.
- Proficient at social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include business expenses and vehicle allowance.
