SUMMARY:
A National Portfolio Manager is responsible for the development of a national brand strategy for each brand they represent. The incumbent works closely with regional sales and marketing teams and acts as the liaison between supplier representatives and Select Wines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Brand strategies for all regions across Canada adhering to provincial laws and legislation
· Below the line (BTL) activities and budgets (promotions, POS, merchandising, on-trade activities)
· National above the line (ATL) plans within the designated annual brand budget
· Business analyst on brand, tracking sales, distribution, prices, and promotions to identify risks, opportunities, and recommendations
· Business reports and presentations with a clear objective of identifying any opportunities to develop overall business
· Prompt response to national sales or supplier requests
· Brand ambassador, an advocate of brand training, education, and awareness to national staff
· Listing presentations and process of new products and packs
· The employee may be asked to perform other ancillary or related duties as required, to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Post-Secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as Business Administration or Marketing
· 5-10 years of related work experience considered a key asset
· Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
· Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
· Well organized, strong attention to detail, determined and results-oriented
· Strong business, organizational, communication and presentation skills
· Robust Microsoft Office acumen and experience
· Knowledge of the Food & Beverage industry, as well as bilingualism, will be considered assets
· Knowledge of Italia wine and language considered a key asset
