Established in 1986, Marquis Wine Cellars is B.C.'s premier full-service wine shop carrying an extensive selection of wines from all major wine producing areas. Fantastic wines in a fun, fast paced retail environment. We also now carry a selection of fine spirits and beers.
Duties will include building client relations, increasing wine knowledge and performing all customary aspects in a retail environment.
Since Marquis Wine Cellars deals directly with the public, people skills are a must. I am looking for someone friendly and out-going, who understands the finer points of a positive, consumer-oriented retail environment.
Preference will be given to those with wine, spirits and beer knowledge and retail experience but we are willing to train.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Serving customers and ensuring they receive the excellent customer service whether they are shopping in-store, by email, by phone or via our website
- Assembly of customer orders destined for delivery or in-store pick up
- Facilitation of on-line orders from our website
- Receiving orders, unloading pallets on delivery and ensuring shelves and the fridge are stocked at all times
- Various other day to day tasks associated with operations of a retail wine store
Qualifications:
- Must be 19 years of age
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- WSET Level 1 or equivalent Wine, Beer and Spirits Education
- Reliable with a mature attitude with a focus on customer service
- Self-motivated and willing to learn
- Responsible Service BC Certificate (can be acquired after starting work)
- Ability to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends
- Able to lift 40lbs repeatedly and being able to stand for extended periods of time

- up to 8 hour shifts
