Sales Representative (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Provincial Manager, BC, this position will be responsble to increase the market share and sales for the Escalade portfolio of brands east of Vancouver and the surrounding areas. Responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with varous accounts. 

Territory: Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Account Responsibilities:

  • Call on BCLS & LRS accounts within assigned territory, identify key decision makers, understand account performance and identify opportunities to develop the business.
  • Build and maintain product distribution within these accounts and activate rate of sale objectives to drive performance.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with vendors utilizing selling process, insights and sales resources to increase the market share of our products within these accounts.
  • Depending on the customer base, activities can include making sales presentations, building displays, coordinating promotions, re-organizing and stocking shelves, conducting product tastings or staff training, and other related activities.

Management/Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and current account data base.
  • Updating weekly goal activity and progress reports
  • Manage expenses within company guidelines

Job Requirements:

  • Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be highly organized, self-motivated and display excellent customer service abilities. Should have good PC skills (Office/Word/Excel). Must be able to manage multiple priorities, and able to work independently.
  • Knowledge: WSET 2. Willing to learn more about the industry by up-grading wine and spirit knowledge through the completion of courses and learning programs.
  • Physical: Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and travel (includes overnight stays). Must be able to lift and carry 41+ pounds.
  • Other: Must possess a valid Driver’s license in the Province employed and must meet the Company’s automobile insurance requirements. Must have and maintain a valid Canadian Passport.
  • Other Preferred Job Qualifications: Existing trade relationships. Previous selling, marketing, public relations, restaurant/wine, and food experience, retail and/or event special event planning experience. Passion for wine and the industry. Salary commensurate with experience, plus car allowance, and business-related expenses.
