We seek a proactive person to join the team as a Territory Manager servicing a large hybrid territory of high-profile restaurants & liquor retail sales outlets (including Government and private stores). Covering but not limited to: Downtown Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler.
You will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding portfolio of wines and spirits from award winning and environmentally conscious family owned and operated wine estates and distilleries. This position will allow for autonomy to manage your territory while supporting a positive work/life balance. This is a full-time, permanent position and the role offers some flexibility in schedule. The role will require some evening and weekend work for events, festivals and supplier visits which is planned well in advance. Work location: 80% field work, 20% home office work.
Requirements for this position:
- Organize and execute product training sessions, often with you as the trainer
- Develop and maintain a regular route call plan for all channels and accounts in the territory to work most efficiently and service all assigned accounts
- Maintain and increase product distribution by working with existing accounts and cold-calling new accounts where applicable
- Skillfully audit retail stores and restaurant lists for opportunities to maximize PWS brand presence
- Build long-term relationships with contacts at restaurants to achieve listings and features of products by the glass, by the bottle and back bars
- Attention to detail in ensuring store shelf tags, partner ads, drink list have our brands spelled properly, correct images and according to brand guidelines
- Have a strong working understanding of social media platforms and how they fit into modern business strategies
- Be comfortable conducting business in written and spoken English
- Administratively strong and accountable in reporting
- Proficient at software programs such Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook
- Able to read and interpret sales statistics and data. Proficiency in EZ Focus or other sales data tool
- This job requires moving equipment, supplies and lifting 23 kg/50 lbs, as well as standing for long periods at trade shows pouring product
- Full‐time access to a reliable vehicle and a valid and unimpeded B.C. Driver’s License
- Valid and unimpeded passport
- WSET Level 2 or equivalent is minimum. Level 3 is preferred
Assets for this position:
- Post secondary education
- Second language
- “Serving It Right” Certification
- Experience managing an expense account
- Experience building budgets and reporting on Return on Investment
- Interested in learning new concepts and putting them into practice to grow personally and professionally
- Comfortable adapting to changing market conditions

The salary range for this position will be $65,000-$75,000/year commensurate with experience.
