General Job Summary:
Territory Manager to represent the Wagner family and their wine brands in the marketplace. Responsibilities will include the overall development and growth of the assigned sales region with a defined strategy that reflects the Wagner family philosophy. This position will develop effective and accountable relationships with retail and on-premise accounts, and overall trade and customer base.

As the Territory Manager in Vancouver/Whistler, you will be responsible for selling world class wine brands within the WFW portfolio including Caymus, Conundrum, Bonanza, Emmolo, Sea Sun, Mer Soleil and Red Schooner. Additionally, you will be accountable for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, maximizing sales of assigned portfolio brands through excellent planning and execution towards the achievement of company and supplier objectives.
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager / Western Canada
General Requirements:

- Build trust, loyalty, and confidence with the constituencies in the marketplace and with Caymus Canada colleagues.
- Develop and maintain superior working relationships with retail and on-premise customers. (Supplier of choice relationship status)
- Works independently with an elevated level of accountability and excels in team collaboration to ensure competent execution of Caymus Canada goals and objectives.
- Makes sound and responsible suggestions to upper management and provides timely and accurate territory information.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively and efficiently at the territory level.
- Addresses conflict in a direct, yet non-contentious manner to ensure open and constructive resolve.
- Organized and self-motivated.
- Solution and goal oriented.
- Ability to communicate concisely and clearly both orally and written.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement brand-building strategies.
- Possess good overall product and wine industry knowledge.
- Proficient computer skills and competence in electronic communications.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as warranted.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage Vancouver North Territory (Including but not limited to: Vancouver and Downtown Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Squamish & Whistler) and build productive relationships with accounts.
- Ability to manage and prioritize within a territory, working towards national, provincial and territory goals.
- Manage all aspects of sales execution by brand within your geographical territory and within a defined budget.
- Product, Pricing, Promotion, Placement and People.
- Monitor and maintain acceptable pricing integrity for all WFW brands.
- Establish and maintain strong account relationships both on and off premise and build and enhance relationships with accounts.
- Continuing interaction with, and education of, applicable retail and restaurant staff.
- May be requested to assist in national and regional activations that extend past territory in this team environment.
Further Considerations and Requirements:
- 5+ years of industry experience preferred.
- Candidate must have a current valid driver’s license.
- Candidates should exhibit a passion for fine wine and a solid understanding of the luxury wine business.
- Existing relationships in Downtown Vancouver on-premise would be considered an asset.
- The candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and be able to demonstrate its use in business presentations.
- Proven track and relationships in trade in British Columbia is important.
- Candidate should reside in Vancouver and the surrounding areas and have Canadian citizenship.
- Ability to lift 45 lb. cases.
