Negociants International is the wholly owned export subsidiary of Australia's oldest family owned winery, Yalumba. With marketing offices and distribution centres in New Zealand, Canada, the USA and the UK, the Negociants International head office is located within the Yalumba Wine Company at Angaston, in the heartland of the Barossa Valley.  We represent a number of key brands in export markets including: Yalumba, Henschke, Jim Barry, Vasse Felix, Giaconda, Redbank, Rockford, Jansz Tasmania, Nautilus Estate and Twin Islands. We work with a fantastic team of international partners who distribute these brands throughout the world.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Market Director, Canada (Toronto), the Western Canada Regional Manager will be responsible for setting and executing strategic plans in sales, marketing and distribution management throughout the British Columbia and Alberta markets. In addition, this role will have direct key account management (retail and licensee) and media relations responsibilities.  You will be expected to work from a home office.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Proven sales experience within the wine industry, ideally with Australian wines
  • Well organized, self motivated, with the ability to work independently.
  • In possession of a high level of integrity, confidence, and the ability to forge strong professional relationships quickly
  • Excellent communications skills, public speaking an asset
  • Strong desire to continue to grow professionally
  • Sound computing skills, including knowledge of the MS suite of products
  • A passion for fine wines
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in marketing an advantage
  • Must be able to travel frequently within the region
