The Delf Group is a fourth generation, family owned and operated liquor agent based in Delta, BC, representing top selling brands throughout Western Canada. We are seeking a driven, professional and passionate outside Sales Representative for a full-time Lower Mainland Maternity Leave position.
The ideal candidate must have integrity, a passion for wine, strong interpersonal skills and be confident working both independently and as part of a team. They will understand firsthand the art of sales, have the ability to close a sale paralleled by the ability to build strong relationships. They will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a competitive nature and efficient time management. The position comes with a competitive compensation, vehicle allowance and benefit package.
Job Description:
· Drive sales with on site calls to trade channels - BCLDB retail, private retail, grocery and on-premise accounts
· Maximize volume sales and product placement for all brands
· Seek and build new business opportunities in all trade channels
· Analyze sales-related statistics to strategically build territory
· Organize and participate in trade marketing events to support portfolio and build brand loyalty
· Consistent communication with direct supervisor and head office
· Based in the lower mainland but occasional travel may be required
Attributes:
· Minimum one-year sales experience preferably in the alcohol/beverage industry is preferred
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Organized with proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively
· Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and develop as a sales professional
· Ability to build strong bonds with accounts and influence effective outcomes based on sound reasoning and negotiation skills
· Strong analytical skills
· Works well independently or in a team environment while remaining self-motivated and driven
· Enjoys working with peers/management and promotes positive communication within a team environment
· Strong work ethic with availability to work occasional evenings and weekends
· Ability to lift 40 lb cases regularly
· Must possess valid BC Driver's License, reliable vehicle and Canadian passport
· Computer skills - knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs
