Vessel Liquor Management
As a member of the Management Team you are one of our key ambassadors for the store. You must be able to convey the importance and uniqueness of our store in order to sell wine, spirits and beer, create advocates and build relationships. You are well spoken, polished, hard-working, and effectively work well with all staff members for the store’s benefit. You are passionate about wine, spirits and beer and demonstrate this passion with customers, staff, and partners.
As a Manager you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Vessel Liquor, while modeling superior customer service and business standards. You will directly supervise the staff and oversees key operational tasks.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Store operations. Typical duties –Establishing and implementing work procedures and priorities, and recommending changes to policies, supervising staff including training and disciplining employees, assigning work, assisting in preparing and conducting performance evaluations, handling employee problem solving issues, motivate staff to perform and achieve operational targets.
Inventory/Sales. Typical duties –Maintaining and balancing inventory records on a computerized point-of-sale system, overseeing in store merchandising such as layouts, promotions and displays, stocking merchandise in the retail area and maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store.
Customer service. Typical duties - Provides customer service and specialized information regarding liquor products, utilizes effective public relations to provide services, responds to inquiries, handles complaints or resolves problems for a diverse group of customers, assists customers in finding products, making selections and purchasing items.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in the food and beverage industry
Passion for authentic wine, sprits and beer
Desire to enthusiastically share your passion with others
Accredited wine training, preferably minimum WSET level 2
Ability to lift 35lbs
EXPECTATIONS
To accomplish the principal accountabilities you will be expected to work an average of 40 hours per week. This will include some combination of days, evenings weekends and holidays.
