Winemaker/Production Manager
Esquimalt Wine Company / Rootside Soda
We’re a small, expanding winery/soda-factory located in Esquimalt, BC. We make award-winning, Vermouth, Quinquina and Sangria alongside our non-alcoholic Rootside Sodas (Ginger Beer, Tonic Water, Root Beer, Lemonade). We’re looking to expand further into cider, mead and other wonderful things along with producing the base wines for all our aperitif wine styles.
If weird wine and botanicals are your thing, we want to talk to you!
To date, the owners, Quinn and Michela, have handled all of our productions from start to finish. However, we’re finally at the point were we’d like to hand over the wine/soda/mead making reins to someone even more skilled than ourselves to take our company to the next level.
We’re looking for someone to operate and manage the production of all our products for both our brands - Rootside Soda and Esquimalt Wine Company.
At the beginning, you’ll be working directly with Quinn and Michela to learn the ins and out of how to make all our current products. Once you’ve got that under your belt, we’ll be further expanding our production team under your leadership.
Outside of our core product range, we want to make more vermouth, mead, cider, and wine. We want to give you the creative freedom to dive deep into all these categories and just simply make things that taste really good!
