Assistant to the Hospitality Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Tawse Winery is seeking a motivated, positive and knowledgeable wine enthusiast to join our Hospitality Team. This individual will work under the Hospitality Manager; assisting with the management of Wine Clubs, Coordinate the Farmers' Market program, assist with Private and Winery Events and support the Retail Store when required. The ideal candidate will exude positivity, be outgoing, thrive in a team environment and be punctual. This is a full-time position with flexibility in scheduling required.

Duties:

Manage the Tours & Tasting bookings for Retail

Monitor and respond to the info@ emails

Assist with the Private Event Program:

-          Respond to Private Event Inquiries

-          Assist with the growth of the Private Events Program

-          On-site lead for Private Events

Events prep and execution (Private, Winery & Wine Club)

Assist Retail when needed:

-          Tastings

-          Tours

-          Cover lunches

-          Weekends when required

Assist with Wine Club Management:

-          New member entries

-          Correspondence via email and e-blasts

-          Managing shipments (coordinating with Shipping Department)

Farmers’ Market Coordination:

-          Submit applications and AGCO notices

-          Scheduling

-          Assist with FM inventory and write offs

-          Sales and inventory reports

Respond to donation requests

Assist with Corporate orders

Requirements:

-          Exemplary customer service skills with previous experience in Hospitality

-          Wine knowledge and previous tasting bar experience is required

-          Enthusiasm for and desire to learn about all aspects of Winery Hospitality a must

-          Comfortable with public speaking and a strong multi-tasker

-          Able to lift 16Kg cases of wine and stand for long periods of time and navigate stairs

-          Above the age of 18 with Smart Serve certification and access to personal transportation

Assets:

-          Bilingualism

-          WSET or other wine training a definite asset
