Tawse Family Vineyards grows over 160 acres of certified Organic grapes in the Niagara region.  The vineyards supply Tawse Winery (Winery of the Year 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2016) and Redstone Winery (Winery of the Year 2017) with premium grapes to create their world class wines. Our large portfolio of grapes includes Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cab Franc, Riesling, and other varieties grown in high density and conventional blocks. 

We are looking for Vineyard Workers to join our team answering to the Vineyard Manager and Assistant Vineyard Manager. This will be a full-time position that includes working Saturdays during the summer months.

Job Duties

·         Hand labor (pruning, tying, tucking, weeding, trellis maintenance, harvesting, etc)

·         Operating vineyard equipment (fertilizer and manure spreaders, grape hoes, sprayers, cultivators, mowers, harvesters, loaders, trailers, etc.)

·         Maintenance and cleaning of equipment

 Work Conditions

·         Fast Paced environment

·         Repetitive tasks

·         Physically demanding

·         Sitting for long periods

·         Walking long distances

·         Standing, bending, crouching for extended periods

·         Outdoors in all types of weather (hot, cold, wet, snow, etc)

 Job Requirements

·         Viticulture knowledge is an asset

·         Ability to lift 50lbs regularly

·         A G license, a DZ or AZ license would be an asset

·         Experience operating farm equipment

·         Hard working

·         Self motivated

·         Team player

·         Flexibility

·         Safe work practices

·         Attention to detail 

·         Pesticides safety license an asset

·         Competency in safe operation of vineyard equipment, pruning canopy management, disease/pest control, harvesting
