This position is part-time, on site, and offers a competitive hourly wage. Passionate individuals power our ever-growing wine industry and there's always room for talented and energetic people to be a part of our team. Volcanic Hills Estate Winery, opened May 2010, and we are proudly family owned and operated in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. We boast one of the largest wine shops in the Okanagan, and are passionately provide our guests with a memorable tasting experience, and award winning wines to pleasure ones palate time after time.
Potential candidates must have a passion for wine, and have strong social media and digital media skills.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Providing support to our Marketing Manager in daily tasks and fulfilment of various marketing campaigns to bolster ecommerce, upcoming events, and overall reach to wine lovers
- Creating digital and print based content for Volcanic Hills Estate Winery and our future brands with high levels of organization and attention to detail.
- Assisting with social media channels, posting, replying and more on Facebook, Instagram, Google, etc.
- Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
- Assisting with email marketing campaigns to promote upcoming events and bolster online ecommerce
- Serve as a brand liaison to our agency partners to secure current and new hospitality and liquor store sales by providing sales materials, instore promotions, table talkers, posters, and more
- Generate unique and memorable photo content with essential photography skills with our provided D-SLR camera
- Assist in the organizing of promotional events, create print/digital campaigns and attend to capture the experience for future promotional material use
Requirements for this position include, but not limited to:
- 1 year minimum of marketing experience preferred
- Have an enthusiasm for wine
- Have a passion for marketing and brand management
- Keen & artistic eye for detail
- Seamlessly work on a team
- Professional presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the company and outside
- Able to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted marketing environment while meeting various deadlines
- Strong strategic, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Able to take initiative, develop and seek out creative and innovative ideas, while also being open to taking direction and accommodating executive decision
- Excellent written and verbal communication English skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
- Experience with D-SLR type cameras for photography
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
