Assistant Wine Shop Manger
In collaboration with the Wine shop Manager ensure every customer enjoys the ultimate Quails’ Gate experience. Assist with the direct supervision of the retail team to ensure the Wine shop is operating in a professional, customer orientated, and effective manner. The ideal candidate will exude positivity, be detail oriented, outgoing and thrive in a team environment.

Requirements:
- 3-5 year of retail experience in a related field (Winery or luxury goods)
- Supervisory or management experience in retail is an asset
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, hospitality or business
- Flexible schedule, ability to work evenings and weekends
- Valid Serving It Right Certificate
- WSET Level 2 or greater (recommended)
- FOODSAFE 1 (an asset)
Responsibilities:
- Support the Wine Shop Sales Manager in hiring and training team members to achieve Quails’ Gate vision and the day-to-day tasks
- Assist with selection, ordering & maintenance of wine and sundry items
- Provide leadership and motivation, creating and maintain a positive work environment that motivates the team
- Participate in Cellar Door Club program
- Provide support in the day-to-day operation of the store as needed
- Supports and implements strategies to maximize revenue, minimize expenses and drive gains to the bottom line
- Assist in administrative duties included and not limited to data entry, inventory, coordinating group events and maintaining the POS system and reservations system
