The Role
Bring your production expertise and leadership to support all aspects of cellar operations, from harvest to bottling. The Assistant Winemaker will help manage the cellar team, coordinate key processes, and collaborate closely with the Head Winemaker to maintain exceptional quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities

Lead daily cellar operations, workflow, and staff supervision

Create and oversee work orders and documentation

Coordinate bottling days and supervise line operations

Complete monthly excise reporting and assist with VQA submissions

Train and mentor seasonal and full-time cellar crew

Support harvest coordination and execute winemaking decisions

Ensure hygiene, safety, and equipment maintenance

Represent the winery at tastings and events
Qualifications
-
Diploma or degree in Oenology/Viticulture (or equivalent)

At least 5 years’ experience in wine production

Proficient with cellar operations and winery equipment

Forklift certification and ability to lift 55 lbs

Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills

Experience supervising a cellar crew is a plus

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
