The Role
The Bottling Foreman/woman is responsible for overseeing and managing the production process of bottling wine in an efficient and safe operation of the bottling and sparkling wine lines while meeting production targets and maintaining product quality. This position will primarily be working at 3725 Boucherie Road, West Kelowna, BC, and will be required to regularly travel to our Osoyoos warehouse located at 12617 87th Street, Osoyoos, BC.
Responsibilities
  • Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
  • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
  • Prepare production and other reports
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
  • Identify, evaluate, control and prevent hazards at all stages of the food production process
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
Supervision
  • 16-20 people
  • Labourers in food, beverage and tobacco processing
  • Process control and machine operators, food and beverage processing
Education
  • Bachelor's degree
  • or equivalent experience
Experience
5 years or more
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Area of work experience
  • Quality assurance or control

Salary
  • $80,000 - $110,000 per year
