About Frind Estate Winery: 

We are suited in the scenic Okanagan Valley, where we harvest a range of varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Foch, and Regent. We use cutting edge technology such as density sorting, optical sorting, flash detente, HL2, Agrovin Resoul, Stars and so much more!

We are looking for Harvest Cellar Hands for our upcoming busy season. This exciting opportunity is temporary from approximately mid-August until end of November 2024 and is based in West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

Responsibilities:

·       Setting up and sanitizing tanks and crush equipment.

·       Receiving, processing, sorting, and pressing of grapes.

·       Racking and inoculations.

·       Preparing and filling barrels

·       Cleaning and sanitizing of pumps, tanks, and barrels.

·       Processing equipment.

·       Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work environment.

·       Other duties as required.

Qualifications: 

·       Previous harvest experience is an asset.

·       Forklift driving certificate is an asset.

·       Winemaking or viticulture education is an asset.

Skills

·       Ability to multi-task, work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on quality, accuracy, and timeliness.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Excellent attention to detail.

·       Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

·       Must be able to work 6-7 days during Harvest.

Accommodation will not be provided, and as the winery is not in a central location, reliable transportation is required.

Hourly rate is between $20-$24 per hour and is dependant on experience.
