The Life of a Harvest Intern:
- Requires flexible schedule and shifts re “on-call”, varying between days, afternoons, and some graveyards from mid-August until mid-October, or as required
- You are committed to working in a safe and professional manner at all times
- You bring a strong work ethic and have experience working in wineries, production, warehouse, outdoor receiving areas, and damp cellar conditions.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of general labour experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, navigate stairs, stand for extended periods of time
- Must have an excellent standard of safety, work performance, and attendance
- Able and willing to work indoors and outdoors in varying environments and conditions
- Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Available for all days and shifts, including weekends, evenings, and graveyards
Bonus Points:
- Production and/or safety-specific certifications
- Forklift Operator’s Certificate
- Level III Industrial First Aid
- Previous experience working in harvest in a large production facility
- Passion for wine and wine production
