Store Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Metro Liquor is hiring at our West Kelowna Store location for Store Manager!

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, amazing product depth, our store facilities, and having great relationships at work! We are looking for a charismatic leader who is highly organized, vibrant, and hands-on.

Job Duties:

  • Day to day store operations
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager
  • Create and maintain a positive working culture
  • Managing sales growth and margin
  • Ordering stock, inventory control, and product management
  • Back office work (invoices, POS data entry, report, schedules, price tags etc)
  • Receiving, loading, unloading
  • Promotions and advertising
  • Merchandising, store layout, and aesthetics
  • Cash and financial management
  • Uphold Metro Liquor ethos and support all policies and compliance with governing regulations and liquor control

Requirements:

  • 2+ Years experience in a retail store managerial role
  • Mature and professional
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and profitability in a retail store setting
  • Analytical and cerebral. Comfortable with MS Office with solid Excel skills
  • Understanding of POS systems and the administration
  • Experience is liquor merchandising is preferred

  • Hands-on, roll up your sleeve' team player who is willing to work on the store floor with others and build relationships with customers and workers
  • Proven leadership skills. The ability to inspire and motivate a team, to gain the respect of workers and customers, and is able to create and maintain the positive work culture
  • Customer service skills to include retaining and attracting new customers
  • Good sense of humour and the ability to build rapport with customers from all walks of life

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Wine Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 or equivalent is considered an asset
