Sommelier, Wine Shop Sales Associate and Concierge Positions

 

 

Quails’ Gate Estate Winery is nestled in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in the southern interior of British Columbia. Our 125+ acre lakefront property is located on the historic Sunnyside Ranch home site of Okanagan pioneers the Allison Family (1870’s). The vineyard is owned and operated by the Stewart family who have been farming in the Kelowna area since 1908 and who specifically purchased this piece of land back in 1956 with the dream of growing wine grape.  Of all its wines, Quails’ Gate is perhaps best known for the superior quality of its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. They, along with many of the winery’s other products, have garnered a host of national and international awards and accolades.

 

Our Wine Shop is home to our tasting bar and gift boutique, which offer a stunning view of Okanagan Lake and the Quails’ Gate Vineyards and offers a premium selection of our award-winning wines, wine accessories and other unique gift items. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff provide guests with information about our products through the hosting of a variety of events and tasting experiences. 

 

As we head into our 2021 season, we are looking for experienced, talented, mature individuals to join our team in the following roles:

 

Sommelier:  The role of seasonal sommelier at Quails’ Gate Estate Winery is integral to our ability to provides the level of service and experience that we seek to offer our guests.  We ask that applicants be working on or have achieved WSET Level 3, have a minimum of 2 years hospitality experience in the wine industry, possess a passion for teaching, a willingness to collaborate, and a strong ability to multitask in a busy atmosphere.      

 

Wineshop Sales Associate: We are seeking several Seasonal Sales Associates for the Quails’ Gate Wineshop with a minimum of 2 years of retail experience, a basic knowledge of wine (WSET OR ISG preferred), Serving it Right (SIR) and exceptional customer service skills.  The successful candidate will be outgoing and friendly, thrive in a busy, upbeat environment and possess a professional attitude.  Fluency in other languages is a strong asset. 

 

Concierge: We are seeking several Seasonal Employees to fill the role of Concierge to be the first point of contact for our guests.  As an on-site Ambassador, you will model excellent customer service as you meet, greet and direct guests around the estate by providing them with directions, information and communications to on-site locations, activities, and future events. In addition, you will assist with managing parking, customer flow and bookings. This role is integral to smooth daily operations and overall guest experience success.
