ShipBuilders Cider Ltd. is a cider house located in Windsor N.S. We purchase local apple juice, and fruit, make the ciders and package them in the Windsor cider house. We make around 150,000 liters of cider per year and 8 different products in 330ml bottles, 473ml cans, 500ml bottles, 750ml bottles and keg
ShipBuilders Cider brand old-world style dry ciders: ShipBuilders Dry Craft Cider and ShipBuilders Medium Dry Craft Cider.
Sid’s Cider Brand new-world style off-dry cider: Crisp Apple Cider, Wild Blueberry Cider, Strawberry-Rhubarb Cider and Chai Spice Cider
The assistant cider maker, or cellar hand is a full time, permanent salary position. Salary will start at $20,000 to $30,000 yearly depending on experience and skills.

Assistant Cider Maker Responsibilities
Assists the cider maker in the following tasks:
• Fermentation processes, nutrition programs, racking, filtrations
• Quality assurance throughout the cider making process
• Maintaining healthy fruit wines, treating any diseases
• Routine lab testing of the ciders
• Cellar Maintenance, equipment and grounds sanitation
• Quality control and crew leader in packaging and warehousing,
• Customer deliveries management
• Inventory logs maintenance
• Maintenance of Food Safe Systems and Quality Systems
Education
• Wine making, enology, brewing
• Management an asset
• Food Safety Qualifications an asset
• Forklift Certificate
• Occupational Health & Safety qualifications
Work Experience Assets
• Experience working in a commercial winery, cidery or brewing
• Experience in the food & drink industry
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Forklift operating experience and driving skills
• Supervisory experience
