Job Summary

In the Marketing component of this position, the successful applicant will assist the Sales Manager – Manitoba & Saskatchewan in the brand planning, forecasting, and budgeting against the Charton Hobbs portfolio. Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills are required, and some creative skills will be required for the creation of POS from time to time. Additionally, the successful candidate must have strong analytical skills to analyze brand and category trends and present this in a meaningful way to key stakeholders.

The successful candidate must have a great deal of self-discipline, set high standards for themselves, be competitive, and be a great team player. Additional responsibilities include organizing and creating displays, working alongside the sales team to physically build displays when needed, and build brand presentations to present to key retail buyers. In addition, attendance at trade events (evenings and weekends) may be required.

As part of the Key Accounts management component, the successful candidate would focus on acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements and expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.

Potential candidates must have a passion for wine and spirits and hold a valid passport and driver’s license for business related travel. Candidates with College or University schooling are also preferred. Other skills that are important to this position are:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • A persuasive and energetic personality
  • Ability to analyze statistics and strong computer skills
  • Goal-oriented and results-driven personality
  • Able to set and execute high standards of performance.
  • Capable of advanced organization and planning skills and can respect tight schedules.
  • Experience with Creative programs such as Adobe, InDesign, etc.
