Job Requirements
What We’re Looking For:Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Oenology, Viticulture, or a science-related field (or equivalent tertiary education).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the wine industry; international experience is a strong asset.
• Broad knowledge of cellar operations and winemaking processes.
• Forklift certification and comfortable handling up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• A collaborative, self-starting attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• Hands-on involvement in all phases of harvest operations: fruit reception, processing, ferment monitoring, and additions.
• Participation in sensory evaluation and blending trials.
• Regular cellar operations, including racking, filtration, sanitation, and accurate record-keeping.
• Barrel management, including fills, racking, topping, and sulfuring.
• Bottling line supervision and support.
• Daily equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitation.
• Performing routine lab analyses and data interpretation.
• Inventory and warehouse management: shipping/receiving, forklift operations.
• Maintaining clear and open communication with the Winemaker and management team.
• Upholding cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the winery.
What We Offer:
• Salary: $55,000 – $65,000, based on experience
