Job Overview
Noble Ridge is a 25-acre estate sustainable vineyard and winery located in Okanagan Falls, in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated full-time Assistant Winemaker- Assistant Viticulturist. Reporting to the Director of Winemaking, the successful candidate will have a golden opportunity to produce premium wines coming from our unique terroir. This role is perfectly suited for a self-starting individual that will take pride in our team success and is ready to be a difference maker.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out and supervise all cellar tasks including barrel work, racking, topping, transfers, filtration, etc.
• Perform all laboratory analysis as needed (pH, TA, MLF, SO2, etc.).
• Keep a clean, tidy, and safe work environment, and report any hazards or safety concerns to management.
• Prepare tasting and blending trial.
• Forklift and tractor operations.
• General cellar and equipment maintenance.
• Evaluate/monitor wines on a regular basis.
• All aspects of grape reception and processing.
• Participate in all aspects of canopy management, maintenance/repair of trellis and irrigation system.
• Implement fertilization and soil enhancement for all vineyard properties.
• Training and supervising of all cellar and vineyard crew members.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience with a proven track record of success.
• Self motivated and punctual with a “can do” attitude.
• Good communication and positive leadership skills.
• Able to lead by example in a fast pace and highly efficient environment.
• Works with a strong sense of urgency and is results oriented.
