Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our team as a cellar hand for harvest season 3-4 month contract (mid-August - end of November) & help us maintain 30+ acres of vineyard on an 80 acre Estate just outside of Grand Bend.
Responsibilities:
• Cleaning and sterilizing winery equipment and tanks
• Transferring, racking, blending wine/juice
• Carrying out various additions/inoculations
• Barrel operations: filling, racking, topping
• Operating various filtration equipment
• Pump-overs, punch downs, red drain and presses
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized cellar
Job Requirements:
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Able to lift 50lbs and able to work at heights
• Willing to work shift hours and extended hours during harvest
• Outdoor maintenance experience is a plus
• Forklift training and experience is a plus

Requirements:

High school diploma or appropriate job experience.

Experience as Cellar Hand

Experience with groundskeeping of farming is an asset

Valid driver's license an asset

Proficient in using manual and power tools safely

Ability to follow instructions

Ability to work cooperatively and in collaboration with others

Available to work extended hours and overtime in a flexible work environment

Physically fit, agile and dexterous. This is a physically demanding job, repetitive tasks, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending/crouching and kneeling for extended periods.

Must be able to work in Canada
