Job Description
As a Harvest Assistant for Stoneboat Vineyards, you will work closely with the Winemaker in all aspects of winemaking. This seasonal role requires full availability for up to six days a week during the busiest times at harvest, with shifts up to 12 hours per day. Our harvest season runs from late August to late November. During this period, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the vineyard and winery.Job Responsibilities:

• Fruit receival and processing
• Racking/transfer wine movements
• General additions and fining work
• Fermentation and cap management
• Barrel work
• Forklift operations
• Winery sanitation and cleaning
• Traveling to different vineyard sites to gather grape samples.
• Running lab analysis on grapes, must, and finished wine.
• Maintain cellar cleanliness standards and be willing to help where needed with a positive attitude. Willing to take direction, but also a self-starter who sees a problem and fixes it before being asked to.
Job Requirements
• Previous wine experience preferred.• Attention to detail.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal skills.
• Able to stand and/or walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Available and willing to work long hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Driver’s license and your own vehicle.
Compensation: $20.00–$23.00 per hour (based on experience).
