Harvest Cellar Hand

Summerhill Pyramid Winery is a 30,000+ case Organic & Biodynamic winery producing sparkling, whites, and reds. located in Kelowna, BC.

We are looking for a Cellar Hand to join our 2026 Crush Crew! Harvest is the most exciting time of the year for production staff. It's fast paced work with lots of opportunities to learn a wide variety of skills from knowledgeable and passionate team members. The position runs from a start date in mid-late August to approximately mid-December, 2026 and there is the possibility for a few candidates to continue on into 2027. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Receive fruit, operate crusher/de-stemmer, must pump, press

- Clean and sanitize presses, tanks, hoses, pumps and other equipment

- Rackings, transfers, blending

- Inoculation and additions

- Pump overs/punch downs

- Barrel work including filling, topping and cleaning

- Bottling and disgorging

Requirements:

- Ability to meet physical demands of position including lifting up to 55lbs, standing for long periods of time, working outside in varying weather conditions, comfortable with heights and confined spaces.

- Ability to work well in a team

- Punctual and ability to get oneself to work.

- Must find own accommodations.

- Must be able to work long and flexible hours.

- Must be legally permitted to work in Canada- No LMIA will be undertaken

Can be an asset:

- Forklift experience

- Confined space training

- OSHA approved First Aid any level

- Lab experience

- Formal wine education

- Organic winemaking experience

- Able to work nights
