Harvest Cellar Hand – Leaning Post Wines (Niagara, ON)
Leaning Post Wines is seeking an energetic and dedicated Harvest Cellar Hand to join our team for the 2026 vintage (September-end of November/December approximately). This is a hands‑on seasonal role ideal for someone passionate about cool‑climate winemaking and eager to learn in a small, quality‑driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with all harvest cellar operations including fruit processing, pump‑overs, punch‑downs, racking, and cleaning
- Operate winery equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Support fermentation monitoring and record‑keeping
- Work collaboratively with a small team during a fast‑paced harvest season
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Enrolled or completed a Winemaking/Viticulture Program
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on physical tasks
- Ability to work long, flexible hours during peak harvest
- Previous cellar or harvest experience is an asset but not required
- Forklift experience a plus
- Positive attitude, curiosity, and a passion for wine
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Compensation
This is a contract position from September to end of November/December 2026
