Join the Production Team at Tawse Winery
Harvest Cellar Hand (Seasonal Contract) | $20–23/hr | Overtime After 44 Hours
Tawse Winery is a family-owned, certified organic farm and winery located on the Niagara Escarpment. With over 100 acres of estate vineyards and a commitment to excellence, our portfolio includes world-class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Cabernet Franc, alongside a substantial traditional method sparkling wine program.
We also produce wines for our sister winery, Redstone, and together craft approximately 30,000 cases annually.
We are seeking passionate and reliable harvest cellar hands to join our production team for the 2026 vintage. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced winery environment.
Schedule
- Harvest season typically runs September through December
- Extended hours and up to 6 days per week during peak harvest periods
Compensation
- $20–$23 per hour, based on experience
- Overtime after 44 hours per week
Requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Clear communication with supervisors and team members
- Strong adherence to safety and operational procedures
- Physically capable of lifting 20 kg and working on your feet for extended periods
- Willing and able to work extended hours, including weekends during harvest
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Assets
- Previous vintage experience
- Degree or diploma in Oenology, Viticulture, or a related field
- Forklift experience
- Valid driver’s licence with clean driving record
- Comfortable driving light trucks (up to 11,000 kg)
