Solvero Wines is seeking a motivated and hardworking Harvest Cellar Hand to join our team for the 2026 vintage. This is an opportunity to work alongside a small, quality-focused team producing premium wines from some of the Summerland's most distinctive vineyard sites.

The harvest season is the most exciting and rewarding time in the winery, and we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands-on work, and is eager to learn all aspects of premium wine production.

Our focus includes Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Traditional Method Sparkling Wine. The successful candidate will gain meaningful experience throughout harvest and work directly with the winemaking team on all aspects of cellar operations.

For the right candidate, this position has the potential to evolve into a full-time, year-round role following harvest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fruit receiving, sorting, crushing, and pressing
  • Fermentation monitoring and cap management
  • White, Red, Rose and Sparkling wine production
  • Tank and barrel transfers
  • Barrel filling, topping, and maintenance
  • Equipment and winery sanitation
  • Laboratory analysis and data recording
  • General cellar operations and winery maintenance

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous winery, brewery, food production, or agricultural experience is an asset
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and perform physically demanding work
  • Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and shifts during peak harvest
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • A genuine interest in wine and a desire to learn
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation

$20-26/hour. Hourly rate based on experience.
