Job Overview
Time Family of Wines Ltd., a progressive Okanagan-based company, is home to brands Chronos and Evolve Sparkling House.
Built within a revitalized historic theatre in downtown Penticton, the heart of South Okanagan wine country, Chronos winery offers an exclusive tasting room, OROLO restaurant & cocktail bar, and intimate outdoor patio for guests to enjoy. Evolve Sparkling house is on Naramata bench with a 2 story plus patio and garden area tasting areas, kitchen that offers small bites and brunch all while overlooking the Okanagan Lake. Multiple aware winning winery including Sparkling Wine of the Year 2025.
You will work closely with the Lead Cellar Hand and Winemaker in all aspects of winemaking. Lunch provided on harvest days. Branded harvest sweaters provided.
Requirements
Job Description & Position Requirements include:
- Previous winery work an asset but not necessary, training will be provided.
- Grape Processing: Grape receival, sorting, destemming, crushing, and pressing
- Fermentation Management: Inoculations, nutrient additions, sampling, pump overs, punch downs, sugar monitoring, and digging out of fermenters.
- Cellar Work: Barrel work, racking, product transfers and additions
- Cellar Sanitation: Tank & barrel cleaning, and general cleaning of facility and winery equipment
- Safe operation of cellar forklifts and other winery equipment (training provided)
- Follow all safety procedures as directed by standard operating procedures
- Other duties as required
- Possess a passion for wine and the winemaking process
- Must be a team player and possess "can do" leadership attitude
- Must be highly motivated, self starter and willing to take direction
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must be able to long hours during harvest. Work some weekends, some evenings and some holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25kg.
Compensation
23/hr +overtime
