Hospitality Manager

Dark Horse Estate Winery is the first estate winery on the shores of Lake Huron in Huron County. As pioneers in this emerging wine region, we’re looking for a bold, experienced Hospitality Manager to lead our hospitality operations - including our restaurant (Danu Cellars) and retail store. This is a full-time leadership role focused on guest satisfaction, team development, and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

•Guest Experience: Ensure warm, memorable service; resolve guest concerns; uphold  premium service standards.

•Staff Management: Hire, train, and lead a high-performing front-of-house team; create effective schedules; support development.

•Operations:Oversee restaurant and retail store operations; maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards.

•Finance: Manage budgets and forecasts; ensure profitability.

•Sales & Marketing: Drive traffic and retail sales; support wine club growth and 

seasonal promotions.

•Vendor Management: Build relationships with suppliers; manage inventory and purchasing.

•Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term growth; collaborate with leadership on business strategy.

Qualifications

* 5+ years’ hospitality management experience (winery, restaurant, hotel, or retail)

* WSET Level 1 or equivalent wine knowledge (required)

* Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills

* Smart Serve certified - with serving experience

* Budgeting, forecasting, and POS system proficiency

Location: Grand Bend, Ontario

Schedule: Full-Time | Wednesday - Sunday
