Job Overview
Do you have a deep love for Italian wine and a proven track record in wine sales?
Woodman Wines & Spirits is seeking an experienced sales professional to develop and grow our Italian portfolio in the Ontario on-trade market, with a focus on hotels, restaurants, and premium dining venues.
You also have the opportunity to represent our full portfolio of exceptional wines from around the world.
Reporting to the President, this positions’ mandate is to drive sales of the Woodman Wines & Spirits wine portfolio with key on-trade accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a targeted sales plan for our Italian portfolio, securing new placements and growing existing accounts in the hotel and restaurant sector.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with sommeliers, chefs, beverage managers, and F&B directors.
- Conduct staff trainings, tastings, and educational sessions to deepen product knowledge and drive sales.
- Identify and capitalize on by-the-glass opportunities, wine list features, and seasonal menu placements.
- Represent the company at trade shows, supplier visits, and industry events.
- Provide market feedback on trends, competitive activity, and opportunities for growth.
Requirements
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Excellent wine knowledge with WSET Level 3 or equivalent (Italian wine certifications a plus).
- Proven record of success in wine sales, preferably in the on-trade sector.
- Confident in presenting to and educating hospitality professionals.
- Strong business development skills and a consultative approach to selling.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Fluency in Italian or French is an asset.
Compensation

- Competitive base salary plus commission (6–10% on eligible sales)
