Position Overview

We are seeking an operationally minded Marketing & Event Coordinator with a passion for the wine and spirits industry to serve as the logistical and production backbone of the marketing department.

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the role is responsible for executing marketing initiatives and managing events that enhance brand visibility, support sales efforts, and strengthen customer relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing Production & Creative Execution

  • Collateral Execution: Manage the production of key sales materials (price lists, sell sheets, product profiles) using established templates and brand guidelines.  
  • Print Production Management: Prepare print-ready files (crop marks, bleeds, resolution, and specifications) for vendor use.
  • Data Integrity: Parse, format, and manage product data in Excel/Google Sheets for website portals integration and automated sales tools.
  • Portal Management: Maintain accurate product information across the company website and web portals (BCLDB, Liquor Connect, Liquify).
  • Liquor Board Programs: Coordinate and oversee submissions of provincial marketing program applications and ensure compliance with deadlines.  

Social Media & Administrative Support

  • Content Management: Schedule and post content on social media platforms, aligning with brand priorities and event calendars.
  • Budgeting: Update A&P budgets and marketing expenses.
  • Sales Support: Provide support to the sales team as required.

Event Management & Logistics

  • End-to-End Execution: Manage the complete life cycle of annual events, including occasional company representation at key trade and consumer events.
  • Logistics & Inventory: Oversee event inventory management, including product procurement, sample tracking, and booth materials.
  • Vendor Relations: Manager relationships with venues, equipment rental providers, and logistics partners to ensure a seamless and cost-effective execution.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Gather data for post-event reporting to measure budget, performance, and ROI.

Requirements

Experience and Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of marketing coordination, production, or event operations experience (Beverage Alcohol or CPG preferred)
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets (formulas, pivots, data formatting, parsing data, and formatting large data sets for system integration)
  • Experience with design tools such as Affinity, Canva, or Adobe.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines at once.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail across pricing, spelling, and data accuracy.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs (case of wine)
  • Serving It Right certification
  • WSET certification considered an asset
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) considered an asset

Compensation

Compensation & Benefits

  • $55,000–$65,000 annually

  • Hybrid (60–80% in-office)
  • Monday–Friday schedule; occasional evenings and weekends for events
