Job Overview
Cork Fine Wine is looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong interest in wine to join our team. This role supports our marketing initiatives, events program, and e-commerce operations, while helping create engaging wine experiences for our customers both in-store and online. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, is comfortable coordinating multiple projects at once, and is excited about connecting people with great wine.

Cork is a specialty wine retailer focused on curated selections, wine education, and memorable wine experiences. We work closely with producers, importers, and industry professionals to bring distinctive wines to our customers and to create opportunities for discovery.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Coordinate in-store, online, and email marketing initiatives
- Coordinate regular promotional email offers (1–2 per week)
- Create content to promote events and store activities
- Maintain social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook, and Eventbrite
Events
- Support the planning and execution of off-site events
- Coordinate with vendors and wine representatives to secure bookings and event details
- Oversee ticket sales, registrations, and guest communication
- Assist in selecting and coordinating wine and beverages for events
- Prepare order forms, pack event orders, and manage related payments
- Provide staff with clear event outlines and staffing requirements
In-Store Tastings
- Coordinate tastings with wine representatives
- Assist with product selection for tastings
- Promote tastings through social media and marketing channels
Website & E-Commerce
- Maintain the Shopify e-commerce website
- Coordinate with the marketing agency on SEO initiatives
- Assist with website blog coordination and updates
Requirements
- WSET Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent wine education), or strong wine-related experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Understanding of event logistics and coordination
- Experience coordinating social media accounts and creating content
- Strong digital skills including experience with:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Canva or similar design tools
- Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Eventbrite, LinkedIn)
- Profitek and Shopify experience (asset)
- Positive, professional attitude and strong service mindset
- Comfortable lifting 30–40 lb cases
Compensation
- Great full-time schedule: Cork is open Monday–Friday, 10 am – 6 pm, with 2–5 evening events/month (majority of weekends free)
