Job Posting: Regional Manager (Export / Canada)
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for representing and driving sales growth for all Domaine Bousquet brands across Canada. The Regional Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of agency partners, build strong relationships with key Liquor Control Board stakeholders, and develop on- and off-premise accounts and retail channels.
The position includes business planning responsibilities such as annual operating plans, monthly forecasts, marketing initiatives, and promotional programs. The role also focuses on identifying opportunities in allocations, depletions, product placement, and market expansion. Additionally, this position will provide support to other global export markets as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Effectively manage and engage agency partners to drive sales, depletions, distribution, profitability, and brand visibility in Canada
● Travel overnight within Canada and internationally as required
● Develop and execute regional strategic plans aligned with corporate and divisional objectives
● Conduct ROI analysis on new business initiatives to ensure alignment with company goals
● Lead agency business reviews and develop joint business plans
● Ensure consistent brand positioning and strategy across all markets and channels
● Proactively identify and resolve issues related to inventory, labeling, compliance, forecasting, demand planning, payments, and logistics
● Build and maintain strong relationships with agency teams, key accounts, and provincial liquor boards
● Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, compliance, finance, customer service, hospitality, and winemaking
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
● Strong ability to manage priorities and workflow in a dynamic environment
● Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets
● Knowledge of Canadian order systems (e.g., LCBO Gateway, SAQ B2B) and market requirements
● Understanding of Canadian labeling regulations
● Highly motivated with a strong results-oriented mindset and long-term vision
● Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and quantitative skills
● Deep understanding of brand strategy and effective program execution
● Excellent negotiation and selling skills
● Detail-oriented with a proactive and creative problem-solving approach
● Ability to prioritize, lead initiatives, and deliver results against KPIs
● Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with ambiguity
● Ability to work independently and manage upward with minimal supervision
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools; experience with beverage alcohol reporting systems is a plus
● Valid passport and driver’s license; clean driving record and insurance where applicable
Education & Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
● Minimum of 7 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry, ideally with both supplier and agency exposure
● Preferred: Advanced wine certifications (e.g., WSET, CMS, ISG, SWE) or Wine Business degree
● Established network within the Canadian beverage alcohol industry
● Proven success in driving volume growth, profitability, and managing agency relationships
● Experience building brands across varying budget levels
● Strong experience working with cross-functional teams
● Fluency in English required (French and/or Spanish is an asset)
● Ability to travel internationally without restrictions
● Valid driver’s license
