Sales and Marketing Assistant

Job description: Reporting to the Directory of Marketing and Sales, this team member implements a variety of marketing initiatives. The primary responsibility is to improve the winery’s brand exposure in the marketplace and support the sales of the winery’s products. You will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the sales and marketing activities of the winery. This position will oversee the administrative and marketing assistant.

Essential Functions:

• Manage the Wine Club and Wine Releases and enhance the overall customer experience and satisfaction.

• Manage winery events, we host 2-3 on-site events and 1 off-site event annually.

• Developing and executing an annual integrated marketing plan to ensure the essence of the brand.

• Lead and motivate a team of tasting room staff throughout the season (typically in July and August)

o Maintain operation standards, train and coach tasting room staff, and provide an exceptional experience to visiting guests.

o Assist customers with sales, shipping, and wine club sign-ups.

• Support the day-to-day administrative duties, as required, and will vary throughout the year.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in sales.

• Self-starter and highly motivated

• Excellent oral and written English language skills.

• Comprehensive understanding of wine and the wine industry.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to utilize a computer, including a specialized wine marketing program (Wine Direct or Commerce7)

• Ability to lift 22kgs (47lbs)
