Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time Sales & Marketing Coordinator that supports the Outside Sales Team and the National Sales Director with graphic design, sales collateral, portal updates, shipments and inventory monitoring, while keeping all materials consistent with Frind Winery Ltd.’s brand standards. The successful candidate will be part of a tight-knit team and play an integral role in successful sales and brand launches, with significant independence to manage your own responsibilities.
This role will be based on site at our West Kelowna location, 3725 Boucherie Rd.
Responsibilities
New Wine Releases
Graphic design work is driven by the release calendar, which is set jointly by the National Sales Director and the Winemaker. The coordinator confirms the timeline with both at the start of each release cycle and:
- Creates the backer card, neck tag, and any needed shelf talker or case card graphics for each new release.
- Creates the tech sheet and sell sheet in cooperation with the Winemaker and National Sales Director.
- Creates the wine profile, and uploads tasting notes and bottle shots internally, to the BC Liquor Stores (BCLS) website and to Connect Logistics.
- Creates the online banners for the Connect Logistics website.
- Coordinates with the third-party printer so promotional materials are ready before launch.
- Ensures all materials align with brand standards across every channel.
Recurring and Ongoing Responsibilities
Weekly
- Updates the Web Portal for AB Sales.
- Manages purchase orders and initiates shipments in cooperation with SLGA.
- Tracks samples and manages the sample locker inventory, working with the warehouse so samples reach territory managers on time and within budget.
- Monitors shipping, receiving and order fulfillment records and reports to support customer satisfaction.
Monthly
- Creates sell sheets for BCLS.
- Updates pricelists and portfolios for each channel as needed and provides them to the National Sales Director for pricing registration.
- Updates wine profiles and files on the internal drive.
- Coordinates with the BCLS Marketing team on shelf talkers, point stickers, promotional materials and events.
Quarterly
- Reviews and maintains stock of backer cards and shelf talkers, and reorders through the third-party printer.
Ongoing
- Monitors inventory at the BCLDB Warehouse, Container World and Liquor Connect, and communicates with inventory management.
- Assists the Outside Sales Team with Key Account Retail Listing Forms.
- Coordinates winery supplier visits and on-site team meetings, including agendas and samples.
- Creates packages for wine writers, reviewers and influencers, tied to releases.
- Applies for wine competitions and awards that promote Frind.
- Maintains professional, positive relationships with major accounts, outlets, wholesalers, vendors and business partners.
- Orders business cards and office supplies as needed.
As required
- Attends special events (about 4–6 per year), with schedule flexibility.
- Performs other marketing and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of graphic design experience, ideally with CPG or Food & Beverage environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (Illustrator or InDesign a plus) and Canva.
- Comfortable using AI platforms for design.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with high attention to detail.
- Proactive self-starter who can manage workload independently, prioritize effectively and collaborate well with a team.
- Experience in the wine industry, intermediate wine knowledge and a genuine interest in wine an asset.
- WSET certification an asset.
- Experience with email marketing tools or a CRM an asset.
Compensation
- The pay range for this position is $31,250 - $34,375 annually based on a 25 hour work week.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00AM - 4:30PM
It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
