Job Overview
Azureau Wines & Spirits is seeking a driven, professional, passionate and experienced Sales Representative to service LCBO stores, grocery, convenience stores and other retail establishments selling alcohol.
Azureau has seen tremendous growth over the past several years and with the opening up of alcohol sales in Ontario we are looking to expand the distribution of our three top-performing Vintages Essentials, and six General List wines Spirits, as well as consistent releases in Vintages Front Line.
The ideal candidate must have integrity, a passion for wines & spirits, strong interpersonal skills and be confident working both independently and as part of a team. Experience selling wines & spirits is required.
Job Description:
Sales
- Plan and execute sales calls to LCBO retail stores, grocery, convenience stores and other retail establishments within the GTA East; boundaries are East of Yonge Street, Hwy 407 to the north and Hwy 218 to the east
- Regular communications to these retail establishments through visits, emails and telesales
- Present fact-based sales presentations to introduce new products and sell existing products with the goal of a store listing; increase minimum orders, load-ins, ad hoc displays and any other actions that result in increased sales and market share
- Coordinate and conduct tastings and events as required
- Execute, monitor and track marketing programs (LTOs, Reward Miles, Fridge Program, End Aisles, etc) according to corporate standards
- A portion of the sales objectives will consist of on-premise placement of brands in key restaurants and bar accounts within your territory, collaboratively planned with management
- Build trusting relationships with clients
Administration
- Analyze sales-related statistics to strategically build territory
- Attend and participate in wine & spirits events, training and meetings
- Review and prepare reports/sales materials
- Organize and participate in trade and consumer events to support our portfolio and build brand loyalty
- Consistent communication with the Executive Director of Operations
Requirements
Attributes:
Education, Certification & Experience
- Minimum two-years in sales, preferably in the wines & spirits industry
- Ability to manage a sales territory
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business or related higher education from a recognized institution
- SmartServe certified
- Certified Sommelier, WSET Level III preferred but not required
- Strong computer skills and confident with web-based apps (ZoHo, SmartSheet)
- Must possess valid Driver's License and a reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift 40lb cases regularly

- Proven track record representing brands in the LCBO retail environment as well as other retailers of alcoholic beverages
- Organized with proven ability to multitask & manage time effectively
- Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and develop as a sales professional
- A team player, but also able to work well independently

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedicated to creating and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Strong work ethic with ability to work some evenings and weekends

Compensation
- Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience and skill-set
- Eligible for participation in annual volume-based bonus plan
