Job Overview
Join Frind Winery as a Seasonal Tasting Room Supervisor! Oversee daily tasting room operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and maintain smooth, efficient workflows. This role also supports event planning and execution, making it ideal for an organized, guest-focused leader.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, ensuring smooth functioning and a high standard of service.
- Lead, train, and schedule Tasting Room staff.
- Responsible for driving wine club growth through member acquisition, engagement, and retention, while supporting long-term loyalty and revenue development.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and support where necessary.
- Develop and implement tasting room programs to enhance guest experiences and drive sales.
- Manage daily cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Ensure the tasting room is welcoming, clean, and well-stocked, adhering to company standards.
- Collaborate with the hospitality team to promote tastings and events.
- Ensure all guests have a positive and memorable experience.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure exceptional customer service.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a tasting room, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of wine, food pairings, and customer service best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff and guests.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with Clover, Touch Bistro, Wine Direct and TOCK reservation software.
- Certification in wine or hospitality (e.g., WSET) is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, and sometimes noisy environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak summer season hours.
Compensation
What we offer
- The pay range for this position is $20.50- $22.50/hour + tips
- Seasonal Contract (Mid-May to September -Labour Day)
