Job Overview
Okanagan Crush Pad in Summerland BC is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Full Time Tasting Room Associate at Haywire winery and Garnet Valley Ranch properties from mid-May to August. We are seeking an individual with full time availability, including weekends and some evenings for special events. The ideal candidate for this position will be energetic, outgoing and organized with a passion for wine, providing our guests with exceptional customer service throughout the tasting season. We are seeking candidates with high volume serving experience in a lounge environment, with the ability to multitask efficiently while providing our guests with an outstanding experience.
Requirements
Customer Service:
- Welcome guests while providing a high level of customer service & memorable wine experience that translates into sales
- Promote sales in the Tasting Lounge and repeat customers
Administrative:
- Handle retail transactions, including POS and accounting for daily sales
- Answering telephone and email inquiries
- Booking group tastings accordingly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have a passion for Okanagan wine, WSET or similar
- Hospitality service experience serving guests in a lounge environment
- Ability to participate in daily kitchen duties and food preparation
- Ability to work well individually and within a team
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
- Attention to detail and clean work habits
- Food Safe Certificate
- Experience with Commerce 7 & Tock is an asset
Must haves:
- Over 19 years of age
- Ability to lift 35lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and organized working habits
- Able to work weekends and holidays
- Serving it Right certificate required
