Job Overview
Big Head Wines is looking for dependable and enthusiastic individuals to join our hospitality team for weekend service in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
We are hiring for two part-time positions: Tasting Room Associate and Tasting Room Steward. Associates are primarily guest-facing, leading wine tastings, sharing our wines and story, and assisting with retail sales. Stewards support the flow of service through glassware preparation, resetting tasting areas, restocking, bussing, and general hospitality support.
Weekend and holiday availability is required. Previous hospitality or winery experience is an asset, but we also welcome applicants who are enthusiastic about wine, hospitality, and learning as part of a hands-on team.
Requirements
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Smart Serve certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to remain active throughout a shift and lift up to 50 lbs
- Previous hospitality, restaurant, retail, or winery experience is an asset
- Wine knowledge is an asset for the Tasting Room Associate role; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential
Compensation
Hourly wage based on role and experience, plus gratuities. Staff wine discounts, ongoing wine education and training, and opportunities for growth within the winery.
