Job Description: Tasting Room Associate
We are looking for a passionate, articulate, and energetic Tasting Room Manager, and Associates to join our team for the upcoming season. As the face of Sage Hills, you are an ambassador for organic farming and the natural wine movement. You will guide guests through curated tastings, sharing the "why" behind our methods while providing a relaxed, premium hospitality experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- The Experience: Lead informative and engaging tastings, explaining organic viticulture and natural winemaking processes to both novices and aficionados.
- Sales & Club Growth: Proactively manage wine sales and share the benefits of our Wine Club to build long-term relationships with our guests.
- Hospitality: Provide a warm, welcoming environment, managing reservations and walk-in guests with grace and efficiency.
- Operations: Handle POS transactions (TouchBistro), maintain tasting room cleanliness, and ensure the patio/tasting area is always "photo-ready."
- Logistics: Restock wine, prep glassware, and assist with light charcuterie or snack service as needed.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Energy: You are authentic, curious, and genuinely excited about natural wine.
- The Credentials: Must have (or be willing to get) Serving It Right. WSET Level 1 or 2 is a major plus, but a passion for wine is even better.
- The Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift cases of wine (approx. 18kg).
- The Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays through the peak season.

Tasting room associate starting @ $22/hr + tips
